The first step in making a Hummer is to form a ball shape at the end of a rod.

Next, using heat control and gravity let the ball elongate into an extended tear drop and slightly curved.

The next step is to put one side of the tail on. I use a folding technique

After it is folded pull it out using heat control into a shape like the one below.

Attach to the other side and pull out the other side of the tail. I like to make it look like this.

Next we are going to attach the hook. To do this heat the area of the birds back where you want the hook and attach your rod.

Pull the rod off and let it droop over making a easy hook for hanging.

Attach a punty to the birds butt and burn off the rod leaving enough to let it ball back and become the head.

I like to let the head droop over a little.

He beak is done the same way as the hook, but this time dont let it droop over. Make it nice and straight.

He wings are done the same way as the tail. Start with a fold.

Repeat the fold two or three times and pull the wing out using heat control.

Place his other wing on and you are ready to take him off the punty

Tap the punty and the
humming bird will come off. Fire polish the punty mark and ......taaaaa
daaaa,
you have a finished humming bird.

With a little trial and error, you will learn where to place the hook so he is hang properly.

Use a little moretti and you can come up with some really cool colors.

Have fun.
