The first step in making a dragon is to form a slight pear shape at the end of a  rod.

The next step is to put the neck and head on. To do this, melt a gather on the end of a rod. Preheat the body so the gather and the body flow together. And pull out the neck in an "S" shape..

Using the same technique put the dragons nose and horns on. At this point you can also detail the head by putting eyes on or a flame in his mouth.

The next step is to put his front feet on. Small blobs of glass placed in the right area and then flatened on your marver will do the job.

The wings are the most difficult. I use a folding technique. You start by laying a line on the body in the proper area, pull out and fold it back to the starting point and lay another line on top the the first. Do this repeatedly until you have the size of wing you want. And befor burning off the tip of the wing, shape it the way you want.

Now its time to work on the back. Place a punty on the front of the dragon in an area where it will be easy to fire polish the punty mark later. Heat the area that will become the tail, and pull out. As you pull out roll it to produce the loop in his tall. After burning off the tip go back and put the forked tail on.

The last step is to put the back legs on. Do the same thing as the front legs. After you are happy with the results, set the finished dragon down and tap the punty to release it, and use your pliers to pick it up and fire polish the punty mark

Taaaa Daaaaaa, its done. Here is a clear one done in boro and the red one in moretti
