I started working with glass in 1971 after getting out of the U.S.Navy. (served 4 years in the submarine service)
It was either find something to do or be a door to door torpedo salesman. Since I have always been
some what of an artist, and torpedoes were hard to carry around, I decided to enter the world of art.
Inspired by a glass blower I saw at the Worlds Fair in Seattle Washington, I gave it a try.
Finding I had a natural feel for the glass I spent the next few years working in public at places
like Fairs, Arts and Crafts Shows, Tourist attractions. I would make novelty items, trinkets and nick nacks.
After years of practice my expertise developed to the point I could produce items of great detail.
My love of pets, Dogs in particular, dictated that I eventually try to produce representations of the animals
I loved so much. The first dog I made was a chichuahua. A lady in Ft. Walton Beach, FL would ask me to make them,
and would take them to dog shows to sell them. Requests came in for other breeds, and I did my best to do a good job.
I now produce over 150 different breeds. I thank God for my talent, and may all praise be given to God.
